CS-Cart Follow Vendor And Category Extension helps the customer to follow the vendor and the category. So they will get timely updates about the products.

Users can enable either Follow Vendor/Follow Category/both.
The extension allows sending email notifications to followers for events like Product Created and Back in Stock.
The Admin will use a cron URL to send emails automatically after an update.
Admin can control which customer can follow vendors and categories based on the user group.
It also allows the vendor to see their followers.
The Admin can unfollow vendor followers and category followers from the Admin end.
The vendor can only unfollow their followers, not category followers.
The CS-Cart follow vendor and category allows a customer to see the number of followers of the vendor and category.

For this purpose, you might come across the need to create a scheduled task for your site for sending an email notification to the customers. You can use cron URL so that email will hit after any update.
