The Soft Solid Price Negotiation (ss_price_negotiations) extension for CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor allows customers to negotiate prices directly from the product card in the store. The extension enables admins to configure price negotiation settings globally and allows customers to submit their desired price for a product.


Key Features and Workflow:



  1. Installation and Configuration:
    • After installing the extension, you can configure it globally via the Add-on Configuration.
    • In the configuration settings, you can:
      • Set a negotiation quantity: This prevents customers from repeatedly submitting price proposals for the same product, ensuring fair and controlled negotiations.
      • Define notifications to be displayed to customers during negotiations (e.g., confirming their proposal, notifying them of accepted or rejected offers).
  2. Product Card Settings:
    • From the product card, store admins can enable or disable the price negotiation feature for individual products.
    • You can also set the price thresholdfor negotiations:
      • Valueable: The customer can propose any price lower than the product’s base price.
      • Percent: The price threshold is calculated as a percentage of the base product price. For example, if the base price is 30 PLN and the threshold is set to 25%, the customer can propose a price lower than 22.5 PLN (30 - (30 * 0.25)).
  3. Customer Price Proposal:
    • When price negotiation is enabled, customers can type in their proposed price for the product. This allows them to suggest a lower price that they are willing to pay.
  4. Negotiation Response:
    • If the customer’s proposed price meets or exceeds the price threshold set by the Admin, a discount code is generated automatically, which the customer can use to complete their purchase at the agreed price.
    • If the customer proposes a price that doesn't meet the threshold, the negotiation can be rejected or countered by the vendor.
  5. Quick View Integration:
    • Price negotiation is also available in the Quick View of the product. This provides a seamless user experience for customers who want to negotiate without navigating away from the product page.

Example Scenario:



  • Base Price: 30 PLN
  • Negotiation Threshold: 25% (this means the customer can negotiate a price that is at least 25% lower than the base price, which is 22.5 PLN).
  • If a customer proposes a price of 22 PLN, which is lower than the 22.5 PLN threshold, they will receive a discount code to buy the product at the agreed price.

Price negotiation is an Extension to CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor allowing to perform price negotiation from product card in shop. Administrator can globally set price negotiation parameters during extension configuration.

In addon configuration may set negotiation quantity (customer can't make infinity negotiations and find lowest price), and define all notifications shown to customer.

From product card may enable/disable possibility of price negotiation and set price threshold:

  • valueable - price that customer can buy product - any price, lower than base product price
  • percent - price threshold is calculated as percent from base product price ex. when base price is 30 PLN, when we type 25%, price threshold will be 22,5 PLN ( 30-(30*0,25))
